95% of victims of rape and sexual assault are women and girls, of whom 25% are under 19 years of age.

75% of all victims of sexual assault are female, of whom more than 30% are aged from 14 to 18.

3,000 girls are threatened or affected by forced marriage every year in Germany (source: BKA).

The Girls Centre is financed by the state of Lower Saxony and the City of Osnabruck and receives additional money for the “girls can do it” campaign. So that the work can be carried out in such a multifaceted way, more resources are necessary. For this reason, the “Sterntaler Campaign for Girls” has been run since 2002. Each year around 30,000 euros in donations has to be collected. The Centre is supported by five committed Osnabrück women, who volunteer for us as coordinators.
The Café Dauerwelle Girls Centre offers a wide range of support for girls and young women in emergency and crisis situations.
The work of the Girls Centre has been severely restricted over the years due to massive cuts.
For this reason, the Girls Centre depends on donations, so that it can continue to support girls and young women facing crisis with support.

You can support us by donating! You can do so either with a one off donation, with on-going support or with a supporting membership. As reference, please write “Mädchenhaus” [Girls House].
Upon request, we will provide you with information about the Café Dauerwelle Girls Centre.
